Mavic Men's Avenir Road Shoe

I just received my Avenir's, and my first impression is great. I bought them in black, and the shoe is absolutely great looking, better than I expected. The shoes are extremely comfortable, and when properly adjusted, mold to your foot like many of the higher priced shoes. A problem I have always had with cycling shoes is the tongue support. The top of this tongue is a stronger foam material adding support to your ankles, and making the shows more comfortable. At $130, you really cannot get a better shoe. They are light, comfortable, and great looking. The only issue I had is the ratchet is not the highest quality, but it works great and is really insignificant.

I have the 2010 version of this shoe, and I absolutely love them. They are very comfortable, perform very well, and look great. For the price, you simply cannot find a better shoe. In fact, if you consider that I prefer wearing these over my Sidi Fives, I think you can't find a better shoe even at twice the price! Another bonus it's available in fairly large sizes (US 13 and 13.5), which is a great thing for tall guys like me (who have the feet to match).
